Assessment Methods and Strategies should:

• Be specific enough that results lead to specific improvements (See Item Analyses – Good Tools)
• Come in pairs; great assessment plans have at least 2 ways to assess each outcome to show in multiple ways how a department or program is doing
• Directly measure an outcome, when possible; though in some cases, surveys are the only way to measure the outcome
