NSSE 2009 Overview
Purpose: The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) collects information from approximately 1,400 colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada to measure the extent to which students engage in effective educational practices. First‐year and Senior students are surveyed about the nature and quality of their undergraduate experience. The results from the University of Mississippi are then compared to selected peer groups (SUG Peers and Carnegie Peers) to see the empirical differences in student responses in order to make improvements in institutional practices.
